I’ve had many of my readers ask what I’ve been reading on my sabbatical, so I’m happy to share a glimpse of my reading list with you. Connect with me on Goodreads to see my full list.

I enjoyed this one because it’s such an easy read and provides actionable steps to take. You can probably guess that I read this to apply the teachings to my new business, and it definitely helped me consider things I had not thought of before. I highly recommend checking out the added resources and worksheets on the main web site for the book.

Since my return from Bali, I had several people recommend this one, and now I see why. I went to Bali on a personal growth mission, and that’s exactly what this book is about. We all choose the personal growth path that is best for us. For the author, her path was to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, a much more challenging path than I would ever choose! Each chapter is full of inspiration, and I cried at the end. I rarely cry when reading books.

I listened to the audiobook of this while I was doing some traveling in February, and it was the perfect mix of comedy, life lessons, and helpful advice that I needed to hear. I’ve always admired Tina Fey, and I had been curious about her background. The biggest takeaway I got from this book was not to be afraid to be your authentic self. That’s something I need to hear regularly.

I can’t recall exactly who recommended this book to me, but I’m working on being more playful in my life and embracing my inner child. This book will help me dive deeper into that.

Another subject I’m digging deeper in is creativity. I want to learn more about how people enhance their creativity and the psychology behind it.

As I’m building my business, I want to soak up as much knowledge as I can about running a business so I know what to be prepared for. I understand that you can’t prepare for everything, but it still can’t hurt to read this and share the information with my business partner.

By now, you’ve probably noticed a trend. I don’t read much fiction. So it might surprise you that I’m currently reading this fourth book in the Game of Thrones series. Between my spiritual journey and life as an entrepreneur, sometimes I just need to take my mind to another world, and oh how I love this world! I’m trying to read as fast as I can before the next season starts on HBO.

So there you have it! Reading has always been an important part of my life. It will continue to be something I dedicate time to for my personal and professional growth.

Do you have a book I should add to my reading list? Please share it in the comments below.
